How does it work?

The high intensity pulses of light are targeted at the skins dermis (deepest layer) and leaves the epidermis (top layer) untouched and undamaged. Microdermabrasion, chemical peels and laser resurfacing have also been used to improve skin problems however as IPL does not damage the skin, there is virtually no recovery time.

The Photo Facial treatments can be used on all skin types, both face and body. Treatments take about 30-40 mins depending on the area of treatment. Patients can apply makeup as soon as the procedure is complete and can continue as normal. There is also minimal pain and unlike laser resurfacing which needs numbing cream. With the IPL larger areas of skin can be treated at one time than with a laser treatment.

After Procedure Care

Directly after any Photo Facials Treatment you may notice some redness, which should subside in a few hours. To prevent new spots and redness from forming or reappearing, it is crucial to use sunscreen daily and limit your sun exposure.
