How Does Laser Skin Resurfacing Work?
Skin Resurfacing removes the outer layers of the skin's surface to reveal a fresher-looking face. The top layer of skin is constantly exposed and battered by environmental elements including free radicals, wind and sun. Although the skin surface does continually renew itself, various factors hinder cellular regeneration and epidermal growth. Using Profractional Laser Treatment tiny ablative zones are created, targeting the epidermis and upper dermis.The treatment then triggers the body's natural healing process, stimulating the growth of new, healthy skin tissue. The healing process stimulates collage production, tightens the skin and improves the skin texture. The newly revealed skin will be smooth, fresh and youthful in appearance.

What To Expect During Your Laser Skin Resurfacing Treatment?
During the treatment, every effort will be made to minimize pain with the use of appropriate pain management techniques - a benefit of Beauty MD where a doctor can prescribe appropriate pain medication. Skin Resurfacing does require some downtime.

After Procedure Care
To help ensure the skin heals quickly with good cosmetic results, it is important to do the following.
- Stay out of the sun. If you need to go out, apply a sunscreen with a SPF factor of at least 25, and with both ultraviolet A and B protection. You should use sun screen for at least six months after treatment.
- Before discharge, your Beauty MD image consultant will give you advice about how to care for your skin as it heals.
- Avoid making exaggerated facial movements.
- Moisturise your skin frequently with a simple cream as provided by you Beauty MD image consultant. This will keep the skin supple and help to prevent it drying out.
- Wash your hair with a mild baby shampoo to avoid irritating your skin.
