FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE EvelineCharles Creative team present Apocalyptic Romance and EDMONTON, ALBERTA (September 21, 2011) WCFW's Salon Showcase night is a rarity in the local fashion community. The opportunity to demonstrate a theme and story featured through hair design is something that both our students and our professional salons look forward to each season. The EC Salon Creative Team will be featuring an Apocalyptic Romance theme where grunge (the last days on earth) meets lux. The story will be transcribed through every strand of hair, strike of makeup and fingertip- the models will be showcasing EC's new Half-moon, V-Gap and Extended French nail design adapted from innovative two-tone nail designs that have recently appeared on the nails of celebrities and runways of major designers like Alexander McQueen, Jason Wu and Christian Dior. The Academy chose a 60s and 70s theme for inspiration as the 60s brought in bold cuts and colours which allows the students to showcase their talents from Sassoon cutting techniques and theory they're currently learning and the 70s which brought in dishevelled waves and cuts and colours. Both these eras are seen on today's runway and the Academy transforms them into everyday wearable looks.
