JUVÉDERM® Injectable Fillers are one of the most commonly performed treatments in aesthetic-medicine. JUVÉDERM® (Dermal Fillers)
Soft tissue fillers plump up the skin's structure, restoring its youthful smooth appearance. Hyaluronic acids play an integral role in your skin's structure, providing the volume and plumpness associated with young, supple skin. The hyaluronic acid building block fills the space between collagen and elastin fibres in the skin, holding in moisture and maintaining skin's volume. As you age, the natural levels of hyaluronic acid in the skin decrease due to sun exposure, time and environmental conditions making hyaluronc acid is ideal for replenishing the skin's volume.

What Are Dermal Fillers? (JUVÉDERM®, Perlane and Teosyal)
The key ingredient in soft tissue fillers is hyaluronic acid.  Hyaluronic acid is a key component to the skin's structure and its ability to attract and bind water molecules helps maintain the volume associated with a youthful appearance.  As we age, the natural levels of hyaluronic acid in the skin decrease due to sun exposure, time and environmental conditions causing deflation or "sinking" in areas of the face.  By replenishing these deflated areas with injectable fillers, the appearance of fine lines and volume loss is minimized.

How Long Do Injectables Fillers Last?
Soft-tissue fillers are generally considered temporary, semi-permanent or partially permanent since the results of treatment will diminish over time. The lack of permanence is truly beneficial - your face is always changing as a result of aging and weight fluctuations, nonpermanent fillers allow subtle changes in your face to be addressed as they appear.  If using a hyaluronic filler like Juvaderm, your body naturally absorbs the hyaluronic acid over time, so touch-ups are needed to maintain the results. Your improved look will last up to six months or more, depending on the location of the treatment and the amount of filler used.
