Fall/Winter 2011 is all about creating drama and intrigue with the right makeup, haircut and colour
Edmonton, Alberta- July 25, 2011- The EvelineCharles (EC) Salons and Spas Artistic Team studied and interpreted trends for Fall/Winter 2011 and translated them in everyday wearable hair and makeup looks, creating the Iconic Beauty Collection.
The Iconic Beauty Collection is all about exploring a new world of looks, moods, personas and narratives; an everyday opportunity to create style to be desired. The collection exhibits bold, blunt bobs and haircuts that are heavily textured with disconnected layers, and mysteriously deep colours with rich finishes; makeup enhances natural shades and shapes resulting in a bold yet romantic look.
"I was inspired by iconic hairstyles from the 70s and 80s, taking classic styles and updating them to make it relevant to current life," says Cyndi Issac, Salon Director for EC Salons and Spas, "The cuts stir fond memories of the past, but the colors are fresh, modern and vibrant.
EC Spa Director, Cheryl Johns, creates instructional Get the Look sketches to show which EC cosmetics to use to achieve romantic berry stained lips, sculpted cheeks and bronzed based metallic lids in burgundy, jade or electric blue shades lined with a cat eye effect to create an elongated shape. All Get the Look face charts will be posted on the EC website after the collection is launched to the public in August 2011, helping viewers accomplish the same look at home.
As always, EC is proud to feature all local models, turning the lens on real women and men. Transforming a beautiful person into a model for the day, complete with a new look, is always a rewarding experience.
