-Firms in Alberta (+10.9%) & British Colombia (+5.6%) recorded the fastest growth in revenue.

Alberta Human Resources and Employment reports that currently over 10,000 Albertans are employed in the hairstylist field.  They are projecting an employment growth rate of 1.6 per cent - 2.6 per cent over the next four years.

According to an Alberta Human Resources and Employment report that states Hair Stylists and Barbers are one of 24 job categories that suffered skill shortages in 2004.*
