Esthetics graduate, Aianna Burton in her gold glory!

Aianna's fourth time competing and her fourth gold placement

EvelineCharles Academies is thrilled to have had student representation at not only the Skills Alberta Competition in Edmonton on May 11-12, 2011, but with a provincial gold finish, an invite to Quebec City on June 1-4, 2011 for the National Skills Competition too. And it's all because of the talented recent Esthetics graduate, Aianna Burton.

Ainna's love of the hair and beauty industry is a long-time passion of hers. In High School she completed the Cosmetology program and she felt to further expand her skills and understanding of the beauty business, she would complete EC's Professional Advanced Esthetics.

"While researching schools to complete my esthetics focus, I heard nothing but good things about EvelineCharles Academy," said Aianna Burton. "It was especially important to me that I could also continue to apply my hair skills by working in a salon while also completing my esthetics certificates."

Aianna said that the three day a week programs at EvelineCharles Academy were what stood out to her, "I would recommend all students not be afraid to try new things and participate in the Skills competition because it allows you to sharpen your skills and test your ability." This was Aianna's fourth time competing in the Provincial Skills competition and fourth gold placement.

What's next for Aianna? She's not too sure, but she feels with her EC Academy theory and applied experience that salon and spa ownership is a huge possibility. She will then also venture to become a part of the Skills Canada judging panel and perhaps teach at EvelineCharles Academies. Particularly, coaching and mentoring upcoming students who wish to compete.
