Following in my Mothers footsteps

Following in my Mother's Footsteps
by Shauni Poyser - Cosmetology

Growing up I have always wanted to follow in my mother's footsteps and become a hairstylist. Not only did I want to create different looks, I wanted to give women that one hour to relax and leave the salon feeling their best. I knew I needed not only the technical training but the interpersonal skills. EvelineCharles is recognized for their technical abilities and for their programs to better educate a business orientated stylist; but what most appealed to me was when I applied I immediately received an email to attend one of the many fashion/hair shows that the school sets up throughout the year. Little did I know it was the announcement of EvelineCharles becoming a Sassoon Connection Academy. I was greeted by name at the door with warm hearts and huge smiles. I got the chance to speak to various instructors and employees of the Academy and most importantly Eveline Charles herself and Stephen Moody, Creative Director of Sassoon. From just brief conversations with those individuals I knew they are in the industry for the same reasons. Most importantly they believed in their words and lived them. I knew by attending the Academy that the instructors would be sure to pass on their passion and determination in the industry to each and every student that passed through the doors.
