Huong Thai, EvelineCharles Academy student places Top 10 is Sassoon Cut & Colour Competition
Huong has always wanted to be a hair stylist, and is passionate about it. Hairstyling gives her the opportunity to do what she loves and gives her family a better future.
Advice she would give to someone would be to "practice, practice, practice", and to never give up.
She's inspired by fashion icons such as Steven Moody. Seeing the success from other entrepreneurs in the industry motivates her and inspires her to become the stylist she hopes to be.
On her recent trip down to Long Beach Calif. for the ISSE hairshow (to also find out if her Sassoon Cut & Color entry placed top three) she loved seeing the industry at work, enjoying the live performances, seeing the sights, and discovering the phenomenal shopping!
So many favorite parts to ECA: seeing her clients happy after they leave her chair and knowing that she made a difference in how they looked at themselves in the mirror that day. When they are happy, she is happy, and through her excellent customer service she ensures every client will be treated with the same individuality and undivided attention.
She feels every stylist is great in their own unique way, but through her customer service, promises, and demonstrated benefits of her work, she demonstrates qualities that set her apart.
After graduating at ECA, she plans to work at Southgate EC and build her clientele. Eventually her goal is to own her own salon.
Something people may not know about her is that she is a mother, and can be quite blunt.
