Alberta may seem like an unlikely choice for a career in fashion and beauty, but the search for better professional and creative opportunities lead the Vernaza family to move from Ecuador, Quito to the province seven years ago. Anita Vernaza, the 28 year-old mother of two (Carmendi, seven and Noah, three) enrolled as a cosmetology (hair design) student with EvelineCharles Academy this past August.
